O Moulin du Fieux

The O Moulin du Fieux gîte is located in the commune of Saint Goussaud in the Creuse department, bordering the Haute-Vienne department, between Ambazac (30 minutes) and Guéret (45 minutes). Its location is ideal for travel to or from Occitanie.

The domain :

Here, nature envelops you: you will stay within a preserved 8-hectare park. Let yourself be lulled by the murmur of the stream and the gentle flow of the water along the 200-meter-long intake canal. As you stroll through the grounds, you will discover a wild peat bog and its springs, striking rocks with unusual shapes, as well as discreet wooden sculptures that dot the paths. An enchanting and unique setting, ideal for a timeless escape.

The grounds are open and available. It is very important to keep children under constant supervision. Some areas, such as the mill, are accessible upon request.

Shared housing :

Nestled on the edge of the hamlet of Fieux, our accommodation is located in the heart of a 900 m² character building, which it shares with our home and an authentic 18th-century mill that has retained all its original machinery.

Originally a traditional Auvergne barn, then a holiday camp filled with memories, our accommodation has been completely redesigned to combine old-world charm with modern comfort. It is both a refuge for travelers and a warm living space, designed to offer you the freedom to choose: between independence and sharing, between privacy and conviviality.

The accommodation is available for rent by the night, per room or more depending on your needs , and offers sleeping space spread over two levels:

The ground floor on the north side opens onto a separate corridor leading to three private bedrooms: two of them have their own private shower room with WC, while the third has a private bathroom with WC.

The ground floor is available for 9 people spread across 3 bedrooms .

The upper floor is accessed via a majestic staircase and also opens onto a separate corridor leading to five private bedrooms: each has its own private bathroom with WC.

The floor will be available from September 12th .

For your meals , the accommodation offers a shared dining area spread across several rooms and spaces:

Access is separate from the sleeping area and is gained by going around the building to reach the garden level on the south side . A magnificent, fully renovated terrace with its wisteria welcomes you and provides access to the kitchen, the dishwashing room and of course the dining room.

Everything has been redesigned to combine intimacy or sharing, standard or professional equipment and varied outdoor spaces.

To ensure the quality of your stay, the accommodation is shared with other tenants. It can be made private upon request. We live on-site in our private apartment located in the same building.

Optional services :

With a minimum notice of 48 hours, we can offer you meal packages or on-site reservations with surrounding restaurants.

Pets are welcome, but prior arrangements must be made. We currently have a female dog and six cats on the premises.

Activities :

Around the cottage, you have many hiking trails and routes of Compostela, mountain biking trails, dotted with shepherd's huts, Gallo-Roman roads and other local attractions such as Mont Jouër which rises to 694m.

Not forgetting the water sports activities on Lake Saint Pardoux (40 min) and Vassivière (1 hour).

We are at your disposal to complete this list with, among other things, the many festivals and markets that beautify our beautiful region.
